Seiko Instruments (SII) , the principle company in the Seiko Holdings Group, was founded in 1937 to manufacture watches, evolving from a family watch assembly and repair operation started in 1881. Over the years, SII has evolved into an engineering giant bringing precision IT manufacturing and timekeeping into the electronic age.

SII leads the industry with over 10 million+ annual printing mechanisms shipments and continues its investment in innovation, quality and market reputation.  We have been accredited with originally designing the now, widely accepted ‘cube’ POS design printers. Recognizing the impact of customer communication and messaging, we are also the first to launch a color display digital signage and POS print solution, creating further value in marketing to targeted audiences, while conserving premium space and time. In mobility SII is emerging as a leader, offering faster prints with ruggedized capabilities and smaller form factors, providing better business solutions in hospitatlity, retail, health, sciences, manufacturing and public sector markets.

We look forward to discussing your needs and partnering for successful outcomes.

 Press Releases

  • Torrance, CA,–Seiko Instruments USA Inc. (SII) Thermal Printer Division,, a globally recognized leader in thermal printer technology today announced the availability of its newest 3 inch mobile printer known as the MP-B30. The printer, which follows the company’s MP-B20 2-inch model launched earlier, offers similar features to this and its MP-A40 ultra rugged 4-inch Mobile Printer counterpart.

The MP-B30 mobile printer offers the same compact and light weight as Seiko’s 2-inch model, and also has the ability to withstand drops of up to 6 feet, making it ideal for a variety of verticals and applications, such as retail, hospitality, e-citation, warehousing, and other areas where mobility and ease of use are of utmost importance.

As is expected from a Seiko Instruments product, the MP-B30 prints high-resolution receipts at 5 inches per second. Its outwardly stylish appearance and ease of use contributes to its inward strength of being able to operate in all kinds of conditions, including temperatures of -4 degrees F to 131 degrees F. Further, the printer’s easily rechargeable battery (with optional cradle) lends itself to readiness and a technologically advanced compatibility with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi interfaces, as well as the latest Windows and Android Operating Systems.

“In following up to both the MP-A40 and MP-B20 mobile printers, our newest 3-inch model printer far exceeds any other printer of its class when it comes to reliability, ease of use and durability,” said Yoshi Murakami, General Manager, Seiko Instruments USA Thermal Printer Division. “Keeping the needs of our customers in mind, the printer will go above and beyond to deliver high-quality receipt printing in settings where speed, easy access and unpredictable conditions might occur, thus making it one of the most versatile printer models currently on the market.”
