Both inlays have been approved by DoseID, the member-driven industry consortium that sets the standards for the use of RFID technology for tracking of pharmaceuticals.
PID Pioneer inlays
The PID Pioneer 26x12 and the PID Pioneer 25x12 inlays have been designed for unit-of-use medications in pharmaceutical and other healthcare applications. Both products are ARC Spec S certified and suitable for tagging a broad range of items including full and empty plastic syringes and vials as well as plastic ampules.
Their very small antenna design coupled with high performance and cost-effectiveness make them ideally suited for a wide range of applications, for example allowing healthcare providers to optimize their inventory processes and track items.
The PID Pioneer inlays feature Impinj M730 tag chip, which are renowned for delivering high performance and advanced features for next-generation RAIN RFID tags, enabling solutions for high-speed inventory counting, loss prevention with frictionless self-checkout, and embedded tagging with seamless product returns.

DoseID’s goal is to ensure the quality, performance, and compatibility of RFID tagged drug products as they move through the supply chain from the manufacturer, through the distributor, to the hospital and finally into the patient. The organization’s aim is to establish industry-wide guidelines, building on existing standards from RAIN Alliance, GS1, and others to address the needs of hospitals and healthcare providers.
