 Press Releases

  • Celerant Technology, a leading provider of innovative retail solutions, today announced a partnership and integration with ShipEngine, the world’s leader in multi-carrier shipping logistics. The integration allows retailers to select from over 40 carriers, including UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon Prime and DHL. With rate shopping, package tracking and automated shipping processes built into a single interface, retailers can fulfill orders more efficiently, save time, and reduce shipping costs.

Integrating ShipEngine and Celerant’s retail solution enables retailers to manage their online orders, and have each order shipped by the ‘best-fit’ carrier. After an order is placed on Celerant’s eCommerce platform or integrated marketplaces, such as Amazon, Walmart and eBay, the order is automatically transferred to the Celerant back office. From the back office, retailers can access ShipEngine to compare real-time shipping rates across multiple carriers; and select the most cost-effective and efficient carrier for each shipment. Rules can also be configured to automatically select carriers based on shipping costs, delivery times, carrier capabilities, and other preferences.

“Celerant is constantly adding new features and integrations that respond to the latest ecommerce trends and the needs of online sellers,” said Jim Gagliardi, ShipEngine’s General Manager. “We’re thrilled to be a part of the Celerant platform by providing its users with multi-carrier shipping capabilities.”

    Connect with shipping carriers
ShipEngine allows retailers to connect with their preferred carriers, and gain access to a large network of local, regional, national and international carriers. In addition to Celerant’s existing integrations with USPS, UPS and FedEx, ShipEngine allows retailers to ship with Amazon Prime, DHL/DHL Express, Stamps.com, Endicia, Globegistics, PC Portal Logistics, Newgistics, IMEX, Parcel Force Worldwide, Access Worldwide, DPD, Hermes, and more. ShipEngine users may continue using their preexisting negotiated rates; or leverage ShipEngine’s discounted rates and ability to negotiate on behalf of the retailer.

    Streamline shipping processes
ShipEngine is the API that powers ShipStation, a popular shipping software. By integrating ShipEngine with Celerant, all ShipStation shipping tools, and more, are embedded directly in the Celerant back office. Retailers can access API tools to track packages, generate and print labels, validate addresses, view estimated taxes, and more. With built-in processes, retailers can automate shipping, and customize workflows to further improve supply chain efficiencies.

“As online shopping continues to increase, retailers need the most efficient way to ship those orders to remain competitive,” stated Ian Goldman, President and CEO at Celerant Technology. “ShipEngine helps retailers reduce shipping costs, deliver orders faster, and spend less time on shipping. By integrating with ShipEngine APIs, retailers can access all these tools directly in our retail platform, eliminating the need to bounce around different systems to ship orders.”

  • AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) November 11, 2021

ShipEngine, the world's leading shipping API, today announced the launch of four new extensions are now available via Firebase. These new extensions will allow developers to customize ecommerce applications and optimize functionalities, including calculating shipping rates, validating addresses, creating labels, and tracking shipments.

ShipEngine's users traditionally sign up and use an API key to build ShipEngine's endpoints into their applications. With our new extensions for Google and Firebase, developers have access to a new way to leverage ShipEngine which is faster and easier than a direct integration via API. Users can minimize time and effort invested in managing manual shipping tasks, giving developers a streamlined process for adding world-class shipping capabilities into their existing applications.

"We're excited to offer ShipEngine through Firebase with these four new extensions," said Jim Gagliardi, General Manager at ShipEngine. "Our goal is to simplify shipping for brands and platforms, and these extensions will help developers quickly and efficiently embed shipping-related functionality into their applications without a lengthy coding process."

Users can seamlessly integrate these extensions with their cloud Firebase collection. Once integrated, these extensions listen for new documents related to their functionality. For example, ShipEngine's Validate Addresses extension will listen for documents that include new address information. Once the extension detects a new address, ShipEngine will attempt to validate that address. The other extensions work similarly, listening for relevant documents and performing tasks. These extensions empower developers working for brands, ecommerce platforms, and 3PLs to build out world-class shipping capabilities in their applications.

With ShipEngine's new extensions for Firebase and Google, users are better equipped to solve for shipping no matter their coding abilities, empowering all businesses to focus on other high-value tasks. The new extensions are now available to all existing ShipEngine customers in the ShipEngine dashboard and via the Firebase Extensions page.

  • ShipEngine, the world’s leading shipping API, today announced 20-plus new less-than-truckload (LTL) integrations, making it the leading shipping API to offer both parcel and LTL integrations.

LTL capabilities are essential for merchants who sell and ship products that are too large or heavy to ship via parcel. Oftentimes, these items do not meet the requirements for a full truckload. However, most merchants don’t need a full truck for every bulky shipment, and they prefer to ship these items as a larger package on a truck shared with other shippers.

The new LTL integrations will enable ShipEngine users to easily ship bulky items via a shared truck, decreasing time spent on the shipping process and delivering merchandise to customers safely and efficiently. Beginning in July, existing ShipEngine users in the United States can simply connect these new LTL carriers within their dashboards to start shipping LTL.

“One of our strategic goals at ShipEngine is to be the best shipping API for our users, no matter how they ship,” said ShipEngine General Manager Jim Gagliardi. “These new LTL integrations allow us to reach an entirely new group of brands and platforms that need LTL capabilities, as well as to better serve our existing customers who need LTL.”

Prior to the announcement of LTL integrations, ShipEngine only offered connections to parcel carriers. The addition of new LTL offerings not only enables users to consolidate all of their shipping needs onto one platform but solidifies ShipEngine’s market position as the leading shipping API to offer both parcel and LTL integrations.

  • Today, Curative Inc., an end-to-end COVID-19 testing company, announced the launch of its integrations with ShipStation, the world’s leading web-based e-commerce shipping solution, and ShipEngine, the world’s leading shipping API. ShipStation and ShipEngine will power the logistics behind Curative’s rapid testing, which offers an easy to use, pain-free self-administered oral fluid test for efficient results.

Curative’s testing approach is designed to alleviate many of the existing challenges around COVID-19 testing. The United States is currently experiencing a shortage of tests. The tests that do exist require a nasal swab taken by a healthcare worker wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Patients may wait days for the results of tests, and those results may be unreliable.

The Curative test is self-administered and therefore does not require close contact by healthcare workers. An orthogonal supply chain has mitigated the current supply chain challenges faced in sourcing the materials needed to scale testing and end the COVID-19 pandemic. With plenty of testing capacity available in the Curative labs, the custom software used by the company releases test results to patients, physicians, and health departments in about 24 hours after receipt at the lab. To help make this rapid reporting possible, Curative integrated with ShipStation and ShipEngine to facilitate the shipping of outbound and inbound tests, plus the tracking of tests in transit.

Curative typically works with large government institutions and agencies, like correctional departments. The Curative team prints shipping labels from ShipStation when sending boxes of bulk tests to its customers for distribution. After tests are conducted, customers access a portal to facilitate shipping to one of two processing facilities — one located in Los Angeles and one near Washington DC.

Inside the portal, users place “orders” through WooCommerce to indicate how many tests they have for processing. A ShipEngine integration allows users to quickly print labels for shipping to the facilities, and ShipEngine’s tracking API allows the facilities to monitor how many tests are in transit and when they will arrive. In the coming months, Curative will add a NetSuite integration that analyzes capacity at the two testing facilities and routes the live tests to the facility that can process them the fastest.

Curative’s facilities are currently processing about 60,000 tests per day with plenty of additional capacity. The company plans to test 1 million samples per week in August.

“One company cannot end this pandemic alone. We are thrilled to partner with ShipStation and ShipEngine to provide the critical shipping and software integrations we need to safely and efficiently deliver samples and results to patients,” said Fred Turner, Curative’s CEO.

“The spread of COVID-19 has made an impact on the way we live and work here in the United States and around the world,” said James Gagliardi, ShipEngine’s general manager. “It’s a privilege for the ShipStation and ShipEngine teams to support a company like Curative that is seeking to lessen that impact on healthcare workers, supply chains, and day-to-day life.”

Curative’s testing powered by ShipStation and ShipEngine officially launched on July 23, 2020.
