Ceridian (NYSE: CDAY; TSX: CDAY), a global leader in human capital management (HCM) technology, today announced Dayforce Wallet Rewards, a new cash back rewards program for Dayforce Wallet, Ceridian's market-leading pay solution that enables employees to access their earned wages at any time.

Dayforce Wallet Rewards will automatically give users cash back when they shop at thousands of local and national retail stores across the U.S. with their Dayforce Prepaid Mastercard®. Ceridian developed Dayforce Wallet Rewards in partnership with Cardlytics, a leading digital advertising platform.

“With Dayforce Wallet, our vision is to reimagine how employees get paid through our industry-first, flexible pay solution that prioritizes financial well-being,” said Seth Ross, General Manager, Dayforce Wallet and Consumer Services, Ceridian. “Dayforce Wallet Rewards reinforces our commitment to continue delivering value to users by putting cash back on their Dayforce Cards.”

To earn cash back, users simply pay for products with their Dayforce Card as they normally would, and the cash back rewards will automatically be credited back to their card – without any coupons to clip or promotion codes to enter.

“As a company that has seen the impact of investing in employee well-being, we wanted to equip our great people with tools that would help them take ownership of their personal finances,” said Nancy Criscoe, Vice President, Organizational Development, The Budd Group. “Since implementing Dayforce Wallet, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback as well as a high adoption rate. Not only that, but we’ve been able to leverage this unique benefit as a competitive differentiator in our recruiting efforts."

Dayforce Wallet Rewards will be available to all Dayforce Wallet users in the United States in the coming weeks.

Ceridian (NYSE: CDAY; TSX: CDAY), a global leader in human capital management (HCM) technology, today announced the results of a study revealing 83% of surveyed North Americans wish their employer offered non-health benefits, such as on-demand pay and flexible work arrangements, and – if offered – 82% would feel more loyal to their employers.

Increased employee expectations are particularly evident among the millennial and Generation Z populations in North America (between the ages of 18-34), especially as many of them are newer entrants to the workforce. Nearly 9-in-10 of these workers who experienced trouble covering expenses between pay periods over the past 6 months (88%) say it had a negative impact on work. Moreover, 82% in this age group expect a current or future employer to play a role in supporting their financial security and well-being.

“Gone are the days when basic health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans were good enough to attract people to the workforce,” said Seth Ross, General Manager, Dayforce Wallet and Consumer Services, Ceridian. “As we enter the third year of the pandemic, it’s clear that many North Americans, especially the younger population, want employers to support their financial well-being. The market is demanding that employers step up and begin offering modern benefits like on-demand pay to meet the needs of their workforce.”

The study reveals other significant gaps between what millennial and Generation Z employees expect and what employers are currently providing. Among those aged 18-34:

    • More than 8-in-10 workers (82%) would be less likely to look for a new job if their current employer began offering more financial wellness tools, including on-demand pay. However, only 17% currently have access to on-demand pay through their employer.
    • Majority of workers (86%) have access to at least one type of non-health-related benefit, but almost a third (32%) say their benefits package doesn’t meet their needs.
    • 3-in-4 workers (78%) say access to on-demand pay would impact their decision to choose an employer.
    • 63% of workers who don’t currently have access to on-demand pay indicated that they would feel less stressed financially if given access to it.

The study found that over half (54%) of all respondents had trouble covering expenses between pay periods over the past six months, with recent inflation and high expenses as some of the biggest contributors. In response, leading employers are implementing on-demand pay to help alleviate employee financial stress.

“We began offering Dayforce Wallet to give our team members an additional tool to manage their day-to-day finances, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Casey Enevoldsen, Vice President of Employee Experience, Lunds & Byerlys. “Not only that, but by giving our team members the flexibility to get paid after each shift, we have gained a significant competitive edge against other employers in the market.”

Dayforce Wallet is available in the United States and Canada. Visit: DayforceWallet.com

    Survey Methodology:

This survey was conducted online by The Harris Poll on behalf of Ceridian from April 19-21, 2022, among 3,033 U.S. and Canadian adults ages 18 and older. The sampling precision of Harris online polls is measured by using a Bayesian credible interval. For this study, the sample data is accurate to within + 2.8 percentage points using a 95% confidence level.

  • Toronto, ON and Minneapolis, MN, November 30, 2021

Ceridian (NYSE: CDAY; TSX: CDAY) today released results from its annual Pulse of Talent report, which showed the majority of American workers have struggled with burnout over the course of the pandemic. Meanwhile, one in four workers are actively seeking new jobs.

Ceridian’s 2022 Pulse of Talent Report was conducted by Hanover Research and surveyed 1,404 workers in companies with at least 100 employees. The report revealed:

    • 87% of surveyed U.S. workers have experienced burnout, with 44% reporting high or extreme levels
    • The top three catalysts for burnout among survey respondents were increased workloads, insufficient compensation, and mental health challenges
    • One quarter (24%) are currently seeking a new job, with another 36% saying they’d consider leaving for the right opportunity
    • Nearly half (46%) of those who reported looking for new employment said it was because they wanted better compensation, including higher salary and benefits, while another 33% seek more flexibility, such as remote work and flexible hours

“The relationship between employer and employee has fundamentally changed over the course of the pandemic, creating a reset in expectations as employee needs rapidly evolve,” said Steve Knox, VP of Global Talent Acquisition, Ceridian. “It comes down to the employee experience – from the way people get paid, to where, when, and how they work. The organizations that solve for these factors first will be the employers of choice moving forward.”

The report comes on the heels of the latest BLS JOLT survey, which saw quits reach another series high in September, with 4.4 million US workers quitting their jobs.

“In the current climate, retaining top talent is imperative. Employers need to focus on empowering their people by embedding value at every touch point. This means leveraging technology to deliver programs that support wellness, skill development, and the benefits that employees want and need most,” concluded Knox.

Dayforce, Ceridian’s flagship cloud HCM platform, is the always-on people platform for the global workforce. It delivers global compliance, workforce intelligence, and people empowerment in today’s increasingly borderless, fluid, skills-based, and augmented world of work. Dayforce Wallet, Ceridian's market-leading pay solution, enables employees to access their earned wages at any time, improving financial well-being.

Methodology: Hanover conducted the Pulse of Talent research study online from October 5th to 19th, 2021, among 1404 employed American respondents, aged 18+, at companies with at least 100 employees.
