    Q. Why did Sapphire want to re-brand the company?

    Vince: “Sapphire has an amazing story over many decades, servicing the mid-market to mid-enterprise market with operational transformation. Since December 2020, we have been executing on building out a company unique in terms of portfolio, capability, and opportunity. In the past twelve months, we have brought together five companies [Sapphire, Pioneer B1, ITOM Solutions, InCloud Solutions, and Opal Wave], creating a unique offer to mid-market to mid-enterprise companies. As we go forward, we want our clients to see one Sapphire, one vision, one portfolio and one team who are there to serve their multiple operational transformation needs. This new brand and new brand promise of delivering frictionless digital across finance, operations, IT or digital lines of businesses powerfully represents our diverse and passionate team capabilities and the impact they bring on our client's businesses

    So this is the perfect time to bring the new Sapphire brand and vision together to better represent our value to our customers, our amazingly talented people, and to bring together our growing portfolio under a single brand promise; creating frictionless digital.

    Q. What are the major trends you hope to deliver on?

    Chris: Sapphire’s heritage is steeped in embedding the operational impact of multiple generations of FMS, ERP and EAM platforms into our client's business; and we have become the operational transformation specialist to hundreds of customers in the UK and US. Last year we embarked on a strategy of consolidating and growing our core capabilities in SAP in the UK and US, especially in cloud-delivered transformation with SAP ByDesign and S4HC. And we wanted to extend digital transformation further across our clients. Our acquisition in ITOM and ITSM operations [with ServiceNow], in Data Analytics and Enterprise Performance Operations [with SAP], and our organic investment in Intelligent Automation/RPA [with SAP and Automation Anywhere] extended our reach and offer into more of our clients operating needs. Why? Because our clients want their businesses to be joined up, operate with less friction, and that means transforming each operational area individually and together. We are uniquely placed to maximize the business, operational, financial and competitive advantages of digital to our customers and we wanted our brand to represent what we can do for our customers.

    What are your plans for the future?

    Vince: "Our first priority is to work with our existing clients to help them reduce friction across their business. That means engaging and explaining how we can help them transform multiple business areas and also derive more benefit from their data, streamline with automation, or create new experiences with workflows. Secondly, our clients want to unlock the value of the cloud; whether that’s moving their existing environment to our cloud service or consuming everything we do from cloud SaaS models. Growth with SAP in S4HC and RISE, our ByDesign ERP business, our ServiceNow practice, or delivering new innovation such as RPA directly from the cloud are all fast growth cloud-first areas of growth. And we will continue to consolidate geographically seeing the US as a huge opportunity to keep extending our value and reach into clients.

    Our new brand and brand promise has never been more relevant to our clients, and becoming their primary source of operational transformation represents an enormous opportunity to ensure mid-market and mid-enterprise customers can access the service and solutions that are so important to competitive differentiation and success in the coming years.”

    Process engineering specialist serving brewing, pharma, and food sectors optimizes digital transformation with SAP S/4HANA Cloud via RISE with SAP  

    Sapphire Systems, a leading digital operating platform provider, and Briggs of Burton have gone live with RISE with SAP in just 8 months from start to finish.

    The transformational SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP system, which has embedded AI and machine learning, boosts visibility, supports decision-making and planning for process engineering specialists, underpinning an ambitious growth strategy that will see Briggs of Burton’s turnover increase to £100 million by 2024.

    Briggs of Burton also represents the first company in the UK to go live with SAP’s new RISE with SAP offering, a comprehensive, intelligent, customer-specific business-transformation-as-a-service offering. SAP remarked this is one of the very few S/4HANA Cloud projects that goes live from start to finish in 8 months.

    Focused on the design, engineering, and build of hygiene-led facilities for brewers, distilleries, pharma, biotech companies, and specialist food sectors, Briggs of Burton replaced an outdated legacy system with new future-proof ERP capabilities. Crucially, these capabilities include the very latest technologies and maximize visibility and transparency to seamlessly manage projects, as well as in-depth reporting. 

    Working closely with Sapphire Systems, an SAP technology partner selected based on its extensive knowledge and experience of SAP platforms, as well as professionalism, dedication, and team chemistry, Briggs of Burton anticipates that SAP S/4HANA Cloud will deliver improved accuracy, visibility, insights, and decision-making, as well as comprehensive reporting from which to shape planning. The RISE with SAP package was particularly appealing based on its ability to bring all aspects of a transformation together to simplify and integrate processes, crucially without the need to make high up-front investments.

    Fast growing global healthcare solutions leader drives digital transformation and builds scale with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

    Sapphire Systems, the largest digital operating transformation provider to mid-market and mid-enterprise, today announced that global healthcare solutions company LetsGetChecked, has selected RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The platform will support rapid growth and diversification at the Dublin-based innovator of healthcare services, facilitating greater control, collaboration and confidence. The initial project is anticipated to be live in December 2022, with roll-out to the company’s laboratories to follow in phase two.

    LetsGetChecked experienced exponential growth since its founding in 2015. Having secured $71 Million in Series C funding, opened its first privately owned state-of-the-art laboratory in Monrovia, CA in the US, and delivered against overwhelmingly high demand for COVID-19 testing, a new platform had become imperative to underpin global operations and sustain future growth. The company closed a $150 million Series D round of financing in June 2021, which brought the total capital raised by LetsGetChecked to more than $260 million.

    Having used cloud accounting application Xero since its inception, LetsGetChecked’s market potential and ambitious growth plans necessitated a more scalable, intelligent and comprehensive end-to-end platform, which would support the entire business. Crucially, the solution needed to support nuances such as complex LOT traceability,expiry date management, and regulatory compliance around patient health records.

    Following a thorough evaluation of the market, LetsGetChecked selected SAP S/4HANA Cloud from a shortlist comprising Netsuite and Microsoft. The decision was based on the system’s depth of capabilities, intelligence and scale as well as ease of use - access to SAP Ariba Network for greater collaboration in procurement was also considered particularly valuable. Sapphire Systems was chosen as the deployment partner based on experience and expertise on similar projects and there was a strong cultural fit with the team.
