Shopopop will present its crowdshipping delivery solution at NRF New York (January 15-17, 2023), the world’s largest retail trade show expected to welcome more than 16,000 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors. Shopopop was one of 40 French startups selected by Business France to participate in the show.
Shopopop is a crowdshipping solution that combines the best of technology and human common sense: individuals take advantage of their regular trips (grocery shopping, school, work, etc.) to collect purchases at the store (Drive, pick-up point, physical store,...) and deliver to the consumer’s home, close to its neighborhood (in exchange for a tip, on average, 5-9 euros per delivery). Members of our community make an average of ten deliveries per month, which amounts to an additional income of around 100 euros.
Antoine Cheul, Co-founder of Shopopop, will represent the company at the show: “I’m proud to represent French tech at this flagship retail event. Our solution is well-established in France and we’ve already started to deploy it in other countries in Europe. About Shopopop
Shopopop was founded in April 2016 in Nantes, France, by Johan Ricaut and Antoine Cheul. The European leader in crowdshipping deliveries, it currently has 145 employees. After an initial €4M raised in January 2020, the company announced another €20M of funding in November 2021.
Today, more than 1,500,000 people use the Shopopop platform. These users include connoisseurs of peer-to-peer applications, urbanites in search of new services, and students and others who want to earn some extra income. In 2022, Shopopop organized more than 2 million deliveries for 3,000 partner stores.
The customers of these brands can choose to have their order delivered by a Shopopop deliverer when paying for their order on the respective brand’s website. The members of our community accept deliveries directly in the Shopopop app (an average of 10 deliveries per month, and 5 to 9 euros in income per delivery).
