The AudioNav is an assistive USB device offering menu navigation by means of audio direction. The latest addition to the AudioNav product range features a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module which facilitates a one-to-one connection with the user’s personal smartphone or tablet device.
When installed into a kiosk, the BLE enabled AudioNav allows kiosk users to intuitively navigate content displayed on the kiosk touchscreen. This is achieved via an app on the users personal smartphone or tablet device, without having to physically touch the kiosk screen.
Codes and commands sent to the kiosk from the app are not transmitted via the internet or any telecoms network. Communication between the Storm Touchless-CX app and the BLE AudioNav is direct and without the usual ‘latency’ (delay) inherent in many other touchless solutions.
