• UK Brand Avoids Costly Returns for US Sales (Jan 07, 2025)

  Pursuing e-commerce sales in the U.S. can be highly profitable as the sector continues to grow year after year. The top categories of fashion, food, and electronics continue to see $120+ billion in revenue, and show no signs of slowing. However, while the outlook for sales is good, international e-commerce brands must account for the challenges that come with managing returned inventory in the U.S. from abroad.
  
  An apparel brand based in the United Kingdom was managing its U.S. returns via a single third-party warehouse that received shipments nationwide.

  By automating inventory donation processes with LiquiDonate, the brand reduced shipping distances by an average of 994 miles and saved money on shipping costs for 96% of returns in just one quarter.  The simplified donation process also allowed the company to make a positive impact from a distance, which would not have been likely possible as a small brand based in another country.

• LiquiDonate Raises $3.75 million Round (Jan 07, 2025)
  LiquiDonate, a climate-tech company that helps retailers sustainably manage unsellable returns and excess inventory, has raised a $3.75 million seed round.
  
  LiquiDonate has acquired cutting edge customers like Williams-Sonoma, Room & Board, Tuft and Needle, Liquid Death, Luxome, Baggu, and more, all who want to do right by the environment and their reverse logistics teams. Liquidonate has also launched subscription pricing and simplified the donation of pallets, boxes, and oversized items from the retailers warehouse or the customer’s home anywhere in the United States, making LiquiDonate an even bigger value add than before.

  On average, LiquiDonate retailers and brands see a decrease in shipping cost of 60% and a reduction in distance traveled by 93% and a 100% elimination of handling and processing fees previously paid for unsellable inventory to just be tossed for landfill or incineration.
