Omi, a Paris-based startup specializing in AI-powered 3D image generation, leveraged Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) and Karpenter to optimize performance and reduce costs. Key outcomes include:

    • Cost Reduction: 70% decrease in infrastructure expenses.
    • Increased Productivity: 60% reduction in developer workload.
    • Enhanced Efficiency: Rendering time for photos reduced from 5 minutes to 1.5 minutes.
    • Scalability: Ability to run over 1,500 machines simultaneously in a single cluster and scale seamlessly to 1,000 GPU instances.

These improvements enable Omi to deliver faster and more cost-effective 3D modeling and image rendering solutions to its clients.

  • Paris-based AI startup Omi has raised €13M to enhance its 3D image generation technology and expand into key markets, including the US. Founded in 2020 by Hugo and Paul Borensztein, Omi uses a blend of third-party generative AI models and proprietary tech to help brands create realistic 3D visual assets.

The funding round was led by Dawn Capital, with support from Founders Future and angel investors like Paul Robson, former international president of Adobe. Omi currently serves 600 clients, including Meta, Clarins, and Nestlé, boasting 4x year-on-year customer growth. Its proprietary rendering engine ensures high-quality reflections and shadows for accurate 3D visuals.

With the funds, Omi plans to invest in machine learning, product development, and scaling its go-to-market strategies in the US and UK. The company aims to grow its team by 50% this year, positioning itself as a leader in AI-driven 3D innovation.

  • Moët Hennessy Wine Estates has partnered with Omi, a virtual photo studio, to revolutionize its visual content creation process. By replacing traditional photoshoots with Omi’s innovative platform, they have achieved faster, cost-effective, and scalable production while maintaining brand consistency.

The partnership includes a customized 3D library featuring bottle models and scenographic elements, allowing teams to create visuals with endless possibilities. These assets are used across all channels, including social media, e-commerce, CRM, retail, and print, and can be tailored to meet local market regulations and requirements.

This collaboration has tripled the speed of content creation, significantly reduced costs, and ensured the preservation of brand equity by leveraging pre-approved elements in controlled environments. Omi empowers Moët Hennessy Wine Estates to innovate and scale content creation across its nine maisons globally.
