  • Waterloo, Ontario – August 21, 2024 – Axonify, a leader in frontline employee training  and communications solutions, today announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY), a leading provider of solutions to help organizations manage their people and money. This agreement aims to enhance frontline worker engagement and learning through integrated solutions between Axonify and Workday.

    With this partnership, Axonify will leverage its expertise in frontline engagement to complement Workday Human Capital Management (HCM).   • With nearly half (44%) of managers planning to hire more seasonal workers this year, Axonify’s research reveals the top issues they’re facing and the impact on manager burnout

    WATERLOO, ONTARIO – Oct. 3, 2024 - With the holiday season quickly approaching, many companies are looking to seasonal frontline workers to help prepare for an influx of consumer activity. 

    In a recent survey of 450 U.S. retail, hospitality and food service frontline managers, Axonify found that nearly half (44%) are hiring more new workers this year because they need additional support, or their current staff lacks specific skills needed to support seasonal demand.

    To help attract seasonal talent, frontline managers are continuing to utilize several recruitment tactics, including promoting a safe and secure work environment (77%), providing more training / upskilling initiatives for new employees (53%) and offering higher salaries this year for the same positions posted last year (49%).

As these types of incidents surge and fraudulent activities continue to pose significant threats across industries, Axonify is taking additional measures to provide crucial support to frontline organizations.

    Axonify’s new content offering launches in time to support California’s Senate Bill 553 and New York’s Retail Worker Safety Act S8358. This Legislation requires employers to develop and implement employee training programs to prevent workplace violence, maintain training records and conduct annual reviews.

    With violence, theft and confrontations on the rise in retail, grocery and other frontline workplaces, Axonify’s research revealed that 40% of grocery and retail associates feel scared to go to work, and 71% of frontline managers are concerned with the security and personal safety of their workers and customers.

    WATERLOO, ONTARIO –  The hospitality industry is a rapidly changing environment, and managers are facing multiple challenges in their daily work, from dealing with burnout and higher guest expectations to low tips and outdated training.

    In a recent survey of 500 U.S. hospitality frontline managers, Axonify found that nearly half (47%) are experiencing burnout from the demands of their jobs. Additionally, 68% of managers say members of their teams have also expressed burnout and 64% reveal that workers have left their roles expressly due to burnout.

    According to managers, some of the main factors contributing to increased burnout include high stress levels (73%), understaffing (70%), long working hours (67%), customer/guest volatility or escalations (53%), lack of stress management support/well-being support initiatives (52%) and changing guest expectations (52%).
