Cuyahoga County Department of Consumer Affairs
Cuyahoga County's Department of Consumer Affairs unites nonprofits and social service agencies with local, state and federal law enforcement in the fight against fraud, including the Federal Trade Commission. The task force’s goal is to make it easier for seniors to report scams and to allow agencies to quickly share information about scams with each other and with the public.
Cuyahoga County's Department of Consumer Affairs makes sure people who live or shop in Cuyahoga County get what they pay for and that businesses know how to protect their customers from fraud.
Our Weights and Measures Division protects consumers by checking the accuracy of scales, pumps and other measures used in retail sales to consumers.
